Waiheke island, our most lavish tour. Filled with vineyards and delicious NZ styled food. Waiheke is truly a hidden gem in Auckland city. Located 40 minutes away on ferry, across the Hauraki Gulf. It is often a forgotton destination due to being out of the way but definitely should not be missed. Due to the climate, soil composition and terrain, the island is perfect to grow wine. It produces some of the best wines I had ever tried. I had the pleasure of working as a Tour Guide on the island for the summer and I fell in love with it. So let us take you around, showing you the best of the best the island has to offer.
This tour will be a full day tour. We shall depart at downtown Auckland Ferry Terminal in the morning and return after dinner. we will be there to guide you every step of the way. We shall be using a mixture of walking, public and private transport to get around. We will visit 5 different vineyards, a couple of local food shops and a restaurant for dinner. Not only will we sample the wine but we will feast and dine on the local delights as well. If you fancy some delicious wines, beautiful sceneries and amazing food, this island cannot be missed. I have been spoiled by Waiheke myself. Any wine I've drank that isn't from the island, just taste a little less vibrant. Then again, I may be biased. I do love Waiheke an awful lot.
But this tour is fully customisable. We can add or subtract places on the itenenary. I highly suggest adding a dinner option on the island if you are wanting a delicious but also romantic dinner. Just talk to us about it, we'll be happy to assist.
Due to opening hours: The best is to avoid Tuesday and Wednesday. Weekends also can be busy.
